Local Minimum Wage Increases
Effective July 1, 2023

 

It is that time of the year again!  Effective July 1, 2023, many cities in California are increasing the minimum wage.  Are you doing business in these cities?    If you are, you may need to adjust your employee’s pay effective July 1, 2023:
 

Location        Per Hour
Berkeley          $18.07
City of LA          $16.78
County of LA (unincorporated areas)          $16.90
Emeryville          $18.67
Malibu          $16.90
Pasadena          $16.93
San Francisco          $18.07
Santa Monica           $16.90
Santa Monica (for hotel employers and businesses operating on hotel property)   
         $19.73
West Hollywood          $19.08
 

 

And do not forget exempt employees should earn a salary of no less than two times the STATE minimum wage for 2023 (equal to $64,480)!
