As I look back to 2011, the year I founded EveryBusiness HR Essentials, it feels both like a lifetime ago and just yesterday. The decision to start the business came quickly yet execution took time and diligent, hard work.
The path from corporate (known) to entrepreneurship (the great unknown) would be and has been, full of lessons (I call it the daily classroom), tireless supporters and a fair number of skeptics.
On the cusp of celebrating our 14th anniversary, I would like to call out and salute a few key supporters who provided encouragement, worked shoulder to shoulder alongside me and extended their trust as I forged a new path:
Sherry Benjamins – sage advice provider, encourager, mentor, author of our domain name
Marsha Miller – referred us to our first client
Helena Jubany – our current and first client
Bessy Molina Sanchez – a pilgrim working tirelessly on initial infrastructure and product offerings
Nancy Rogers – the mind that coined our news digest, “The Essential”
Ron Hoefer – an incredibly generous entrepreneur who provided a host of initial key introductions and client referrals
Elvia Torres – a powerhouse leader who purchased our first outsourced HR Services
Dr. Charles Vance – a constant supporter, source of pivotal thinking, and partner in delivery of custom client training
