Luckily Netflix and Google have partnered to come up with an alternative that is social distancing friendly — Netflix Parties!
It’s like going to the movies with friends, but with Netflix and online. Netflix Party synchronizes video playback and adds group chat to your favorite Netflix show/movie, and all it takes is a few simple steps:
- Install the Netflix Party Google Chrome Netflix Party Google Home Extension
- Open a Netflix show/movie
- Create a Netflix Party
- Or join a Netflix Party you’ve been invited to
Netflix Party is currently only available on Chrome browsers on desktop or laptop computers and you must have a Netflix subscription to participate.
